Mrs McClure explains the exciting work happening behind the scenes to transform the digital experience for all stakeholders in our community.
In this editorial, I am pleased to share with you the exciting work underway at Camberwell Girls Grammar School to transform the digital experience for all stakeholders in our school community. As part of our strategic vision for a more connected and intuitive digital ecosystem, Camberwell Girls has partnered with Veracross. Veracross will become the cornerstone of our digital systems and consolidation workflows, enabling a more seamless user experience.
Alongside this core project, a number of complementary initiatives are also in progress. These include reimagining our school website, developing a Camberwell Girls mobile app, and implementing a sophisticated digital asset management system. We appreciate the valuable feedback you shared through our most recent parent survey, which has helped guide our priorities and ensure this transformation reflects the needs of our community. Together, these efforts will help create a more coherent and accessible digital environment for students, staff and families.
In the first half of this year our focus is on the implementation of the Veracross academic and student life modules, and alumni related workflows. We look forward to keeping you up-to-date with more detail about the improvements that you will experience as we approach our various go-live milestones later this year.
Further to this work, we continue to place a strong emphasis on responsible use of technology and cyber safety for all students. I am pleased to also share that our 2026 Smart Device Expectations, as detailed by our Principal, Mrs Debbie Dunwoody in the last CamNews 20 February 2026, have been well received by our community for the commencement of the new school year. Founded on the principles of care, clarity and consistency, these expectations and clear routines help students use technology purposefully throughout the school day. The expectations are simple by design. They minimise distractions, encourage face-to-face connection, and ensure devices are used only when they genuinely support learning whilst at school.
The increasing need to educate and support our young people to be safe online comes from school and from home. We are all partners in this important work, and we continue to support your role in this by providing The Cyber Safety Project online safety webinars for your family. I strongly encourage you to engage with these practical, easy-to-understand sessions throughout the coming year, available live or on-demand. They provide simple strategies to help families manage online safety, screen time, AI and digital wellbeing. Don’t forget to add these important dates into your calendar:
All sessions start at 7.30pm AEDT/AEST.

In addition, Trent Ray – Lead Educator Cyber Safety Project, will be presenting a Parent Education Seminar on Tuesday 17 March to parents from both Camberwell Girls Grammar School and Camberwell Grammar School in our Brooksbank Library, commencing at 7pm. The Seminar details are listed for you below:

Each year, we conduct a parent survey to gather valuable feedback from our community on key areas at Camberwell Girls Grammar School. MYP Corporation administered the confidential survey through the School Results Survey (SRS) from 24 November – 5 December 2025. This survey provides benchmarking with similar schools, fulfils annual reporting requirements, and enables us to track satisfaction trends and improvement areas over time.
This year, 27.8% of parents participated in the survey (31.0% in 2024, 31.7% in 2023, 32.8% in 2022, 32.1% in 2021, 37.1% in 2020).
Parents identified the top five reasons for choosing Camberwell Girls, ranked from highest to lowest: academic excellence, school reputation, the size of the school/classes, location, and values/culture.
Satisfaction Rating (out of 5.00):
Year | CGGS | Comparable Schools | All Schools |
2025 | 4.21 = 84.2% | 4.02 = 80.4% | 4.01 = 80.2% |
2024 | 4.18 = 84% | 4.09 = 81.8% | 4.01 = 80.2% |
2023 | 4.21 = 84.2% | 4.03 = 80.6% | 4.02 = 80.4% |
The survey sought feedback across the following areas:
Values & Culture | Leadership & Direction | School Communication | Curriculum |
Co-curriculum | Learning & Extension | Teaching Standards | Learning Environment |
Resources & Facilities | Homework | Reporting | Pastoral Care/Wellbeing |
Student Transition | Student Engagement | Parent Engagement | General Questions |
Highest Rated Areas of Satisfaction:
The overall satisfaction rating of 4.21 places Camberwell Girls above both comparable schools and all schools surveyed. Of the 15 key areas surveyed, the majority received excellent satisfaction ratings (4.00 and above). Values & Culture emerged as the highest-rated category in 2025. The top five categories receiving the highest satisfaction rating were:
2025 | 2024 | 2023 |
Values & Culture (4.35) | Learning Environment (4.34) | Learning Environment (4.35) |
Leadership & Direction (4.33) | Leadership & Direction (4.31) | Values & Culture (4.35) |
Learning Environment (4.33) | Values & Culture (4.30) | Leadership & Direction (4.35) |
Co-curriculum (4.23) | Co-curriculum (4.23) | Co-curriculum (4.26) |
School Communication (4.21) | School Communication (4.20) | Student Engagement (4.23) |
These results align with parent feedback highlighting the professionalism and care of staff, the welcoming and inclusive culture, and the breadth of opportunities available to students.
Lowest Rated Areas of Satisfaction:
While these areas received the lowest relative ratings, it is important to note that all categories remain around or above 3.95, indicating a consistently strong overall level of satisfaction. Feedback in these areas focused on extension and enrichment opportunities, clarity and timeliness of feedback on learning progress, homework balance, curriculum breadth, and transition and careers guidance. These insights will inform ongoing refinement and development across the School. The five lowest-rated categories, from least to most satisfied, were:
2025 | 2024 | 2023 |
Homework (3.95) | Learning & Extension (3.97) | Homework (3.95) |
Reporting (4.01) | Homework (3.99) | Learning & Extension (4.03) |
Learning & Extension (4.03) | Reporting (4.03) | Reporting (4.04) |
Curriculum (4.13) | Student Transition (4.11) | Pastoral Care/Wellbeing (4.12) |
Student Transition (4.14) | Curriculum (4.13) | Curriculum (4.13) |

We are grateful to parents for the time and care taken to provide feedback. The insights gathered through the survey play an important role in shaping our priorities and ensuring we continue to strengthen the experience of every student at Camberwell Girls.
