This year’s International Women’s Day Breakfast took on a fresh and engaging new format, bringing Junior and Senior School families, alum, students and staff together for a complimentary stand‑up buffet in the Brooksbank Library. The warm, welcoming atmosphere set the stage for rich conversations as our community reflected on this year’s theme, Balance the Scales, which calls for continued progress toward justice, safety and opportunity for women and girls.
The panel discussion, emceed by our School Vice Captains, featured a panel with three speakers from within our community.
The discussion was facilitated by alum Emma Race (1993), an Australian broadcaster, gender‑equity advocate and media leader. Under her guidance, the panel explored this year’s International Women’s Day theme, Balance the Scales, reflecting on the progress made and the work still required to advance gender equity in diverse fields.

As part of our International Women’s Day celebration, we were delighted to offer a hands‑on service activity. In partnership with Days for Girls, participants assembled menstrual kits designed to support women and girls who experience barriers to accessing essential hygiene products.
The session offered an opportunity for meaningful, practical contribution, with guests working alongside staff and students to prepare reusable items that will be distributed to communities in need. This activity complemented the themes of the morning, reinforcing the importance of equity, dignity and access for women and girls around the world.
