The Year 12 Valedictory Dinner was a memorable evening, bringing together students, parents and guardians, and staff to celebrate the Class of 2026 and reflect on their journey at Camberwell Girls Grammar School. The event provided a wonderful opportunity for the community to recognise the achievements, growth and lasting friendships formed throughout the students’ years at CGGS.
The Parents and Friends Association (PFA) played an important role in supporting the evening, helping to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for this significant milestone. Their contribution ensured families and staff could come together to mark the end of the students’ school journey and celebrate all that they have accomplished.
A highlight of the evening was the Parent Address delivered by alum Dr Vicki Pandeli (Class of 1992). Dr Pandeli reflected on the many opportunities available to students at CGGS and spoke warmly about the School’s values and their enduring impact. Her address acknowledged the confidence, character and sense of purpose demonstrated by the graduating students, noting how clearly the values of the School are reflected in the young women of the Class of 2026.
We extend our sincere thanks to the PFA volunteers for their support of this special event and congratulate the Class of 2026 as they embark on their next chapter.
One of the most rewarding aspects of Parents & Friends Association (PFA) fundraising is seeing the direct impact it has on our students and School community. Thanks to the wonderful support of Camberwell families throughout the year, funds raised at PFA events are reinvested into initiatives and resources that enhance the student experience.
Recent PFA donations have included new music stands and carts for the Music Department, providing valuable support for students as they rehearse and perform. The PFA has also purchased BBQs for the School, which were recently used at the Father’s Day Breakfast, helping create a welcoming and enjoyable event for students and their special guests. In addition, the PFA also donated strength and conditioning physical education equipment.
These donations are a tangible reminder that every PFA event, volunteer contribution and fundraising effort helps give back to the School in meaningful ways. From supporting co-curricular programs to providing equipment that benefits students across the campus, PFA fundraising continues to make a positive difference.
A sincere thank you to our supportive parent community. Your generosity and involvement make these contributions possible and directly enrich our students’ experiences, helping to create an even stronger and more connected school community.
