Today, Mrs Dunwoody speaks about the benefits of physical education and highlights some of the amazing achievements our athletes have accomplished this year.
The Junior School Hall was transformed into a glowing celebration of fun, friendship and community as students embraced this year’s Glow Crazy Disco. Dressed in bright colours and glowing accessories, students arrived ready to dance, laugh and enjoy a memorable evening together.
A special thank you goes to our Parents & Friends Association (PFA), whose support helped bring this much-loved event to life. We are also incredibly grateful to the parent volunteers who enthusiastically embraced the Glow Crazy theme, assisting with decorations, sourcing and distributing glow products, and providing tea and coffee for the parents who stayed to enjoy the evening. A highlight for many students was the face painting station, where talented parent volunteers created colourful and creative designs that perfectly complemented the Glow Crazy theme and were enjoyed by children throughout the night.
The excitement throughout the evening was infectious, with students filling the dance floor from the first song to the last. Our Secondary School House Dance Captains hosted the event and brought amazing energy and enthusiasm, encouraging participation, leading activities, and helping create a fun and inclusive environment where every student could shine.
The Glow Crazy Disco was a wonderful celebration of community spirit and student joy. Thank you to the PFA, our dedicated parent volunteers and the Dance Captains for helping create such a bright and unforgettable evening for our Junior School students.
Father’s Day was celebrated across the School with two wonderful PFA-supported events, giving students the opportunity to recognise and celebrate their dads and special father figures.
In the lead-up to Father’s Day, Junior School students delighted in visiting the Father’s Day Stall, selecting thoughtful gifts for their dads. The stall was made possible by the incredible efforts of the Parents & Friends Association (PFA) and dedicated parent volunteers, who helped organise purchases, set up displays, and assist students with their selections.
The celebrations continued at the annual Father’s Day Breakfast, where students and their dads enjoyed a delicious BBQ breakfast before taking part in friendly volleyball and soccer matches to win the Father Daughter Challenge’s Day trophy. This year the daughters made a clean sweep to win both the Secondary and Junior cups! Filled with laughter, connection and a touch of competition, the morning was a wonderful celebration of family and community.
A heartfelt thank you to the PFA and our parent volunteers, whose time, energy and generosity made these special Father’s Day experiences possible.
The Secondary Dads & Daughters Rock Climbing Afternoon was a fantastic opportunity for families to connect, challenge themselves, and have fun together. Organised by the CGGS Dads’ Group, the event brought together students and their dads from across all year levels for an afternoon of encouragement, teamwork, and adventure.
Whether tackling their first climb or reaching new heights on more challenging routes, participants embraced the experience with enthusiasm and determination. The afternoon was filled with laughter, support, and plenty of memorable moments, providing a wonderful opportunity for dads and daughters to spend quality time together outside the classroom.

The Annual Music Concert was a fitting way to conclude the term, showcasing the extraordinary talent, dedication and passion of our Years 7-12 musicians and choristers. Families, friends and members of the Camberwell Girls community enjoyed an evening of exceptional performances that celebrated the richness and vibrancy of the School’s music program.
A special thank you to the Parents & Friends Association (PFA) and our wonderful parent volunteers, who helped make the evening even more welcoming by providing pre-show refreshments. Their generosity and hospitality created a warm atmosphere for guests to connect and celebrate before the concert began.
Events such as these are made even more memorable through the support of our parent community, and we are grateful to the PFA and volunteers for helping create such a special evening and a wonderful conclusion to the term.

The last few weeks of Term 3 have been busy, with the announcement of the 2027 Leaders and many trophies, medals, and pennants won in the sporting arena.
