Building Confidence for Life Beyond School

The recent Careers and Mock Interview Day brought energy, insight and meaningful connection to our school community, with alum, parents and staff generously volunteering their time to support students. In a supportive and realistic setting, students had the opportunity to practise articulating their strengths, experiences and aspirations, building confidence and real-world readiness.

Drawing on their diverse professional backgrounds, volunteers provided thoughtful feedback to help students refine their communication, body language and interview responses. For many, it was their first formal interview experience, and the encouraging environment helped ease nerves while emphasising the value of preparation.

The day also featured a Transition to Tertiary session, where seven alum from the Class of 2025 returned to share their experiences beyond school. Now engaged in university and further study, they offered honest reflections and practical advice on navigating independence, academic expectations and new environments.
