Community, Celebration & Connection – Mother’s Day Breakfast

Filled with conversation, laughter and the sound of live music, the Brooksbank Library was transformed into a warm and vibrant space for this year’s Mother’s Day Breakfast. Families from ELC to Year 12 came together with mothers, grandmothers and special guests to celebrate the important women in their lives.

Proudly organised by the Parents & Friends Association (PFA), the event created a welcoming atmosphere where families could connect and enjoy a memorable morning together. Including generous door prizes, including contributions from Camberwell Girls families.

Student involvement was a highlight. Student ambassadors warmly welcomed guests, while talented musicians set the tone with beautiful piano and harp performances. Our Junior and Secondary School Captains hosted the morning with confidence and poise, contributing to its joyful and inclusive spirit. We also enjoyed magical musical performances by Jasmine X (Year 10), Elise F (Year 10), Asha B (Year 10), Iris L (Year 9) and Joyce Z (Year 9).

This year’s refreshed stand-up format created a relaxed and sociable atmosphere, with the library buzzing as families mingled, reconnected, and formed new friendships. The shift to a buffet-style breakfast encouraged conversation and a strong sense of community throughout the morning.

Mother’s Day Stall

The much-loved Mother’s Day Stall was once again a highlight for Junior students, bringing excitement, joy, and plenty of thoughtful decision-making as they selected special gifts for their mums and important people in their lives.

Organised by the Parents & Friends Association (PFA) in collaboration with the dedicated members of Friends of the Arts, the stall offered a wonderful selection of carefully chosen gifts to suit a wide range of tastes.

The enthusiasm of the students was evident throughout the event, with many taking great care in making their selections, eager to surprise their loved ones with a heartfelt gift. The stall created a lovely buzz of anticipation, as students embraced the opportunity to give back and celebrate those who support and care for them.

This special event would not have been possible without the generosity, time and dedication of our volunteers. We extend our sincere thanks to the PFA and Friends of the Arts for their ongoing support in creating such meaningful experiences for our school community.
