Class of 1999 – 20 Year Reunion
On Saturday 27 July the Class of 1999 celebrated their 20 year reunion here at Senior School.
The Inspire Room in the Library was a hive of activity, laughter and a great deal of catching up.
The group was joined by Deputy Principal Cathy Poyser who drew comparisons from their time at the school to now. Also present were former staff members, Tricia Hunt, Joan Vida and Barbara Russell. It was lovely to have these women reunited with their former students to reflect and reminisce on their time at CGGS. We thank School Captains Ellie and Steph who took the old grammarians on a tour of the school. The women were in amazement of how much the school had changed and throughly enjoyed reminiscing through the school grounds.
Parents & Friends Association Pre-Show Refreshments
The PFA Friends of the Arts proudly supported the wonderful Senior School Production by providing complimentary pre-show refreshments to audience members on each night. Our wonderful CGGS parent volunteers prepared homemade sausage rolls to serve to the crowd, along with a variety of red and white wines prior to each performance.
The PFA volunteers were kept very busy with most audience members enjoying the refreshments and mingling with other CGGS parents. The PFA will return to the Barbara Sutton Hall foyer to serve pre-show refreshments to the CGGS community at the upcoming Festival of Music and House Drama events.

Class Rep Year Level Events
Each Term, CGGS Class Reps are busy planning and hosting year level events for the CGGS Community. These include dinners for the mums, badminton games for the dads, bowling afternoons for families and coffee mornings, just to name a few.
Recently, the Year 8 mums enjoyed a fun night out at a local restaurant, whilst the Foundation dads will meet for friendly drinks this Friday and the Year 7 families are looking forward to an active afternoon at an Indoor Challenge Arena this weekend.
These activities provide a wonderful opportunity for parents and families to meet and mingle in a casual and friendly environment. All Class Rep events are advertised in What’s On which is sent on a Monday.
