Matilda The Musical – SOLD OUT!

CGGS is thrilled to have sold out all four performances of the Senior School Production of Matilda The Musical! We are immensely proud of everyone involved in the production and the talent of our students. If you have tickets to Friday and Saturday nights performances, make sure you arrive early and join the PFA for pre-show refreshments and nibbles in the Fig Tree Café from 6.00pm – 6.45pm.

You will also be able to view ‘Projections of Us’, a large-scale multimedia installation projected onto the façade of the Senior School prior to the show.

This piece was created for our Centenary and was a collaboration between students and industry professionals.

Oh What a Night!

Thank you to our 270 guests who attended the Centenary Gala on Saturday 30th July. It was a wonderful celebrate of the school’s 100th birthday with plenty of dancing, laughing and catching up. The CGGS school spirit was in full swing.

Guests were welcomed by Murrundindi and then enjoyed a delicious three course meal provided by Leonda by the Yarra. Guests were entertained by the immensely talented emcee Emma Race (1993), old grammarian and current parent, broadcaster, media producer and avid football fan. Many guests availed of the amazing talents of our fashion sketch artists to obtain a unique memento of the evening. And then guests danced the night away to the rocking Dan Hamill Band!

Thank you to all our donors who contributed to the live and silent auctions. The silent auction was a huge success with over 50 items to bid on. The Live Auction was hugely competitive as guests bid on a range of jewellery items, tickets to The Front Bar television program and Penfolds Grange BIN 95 wine. Thanks to our auctioneer Jeremy Desmier, Executive Chairman and Auctioneer from Fletchers Real Estate Canterbury for ensuring the live auction was such a great success.

We are very pleased to announce that we raised over $26,000 from the auctions on the night which will go towards the upcoming redevelopment of our Performing Arts precinct.
