Foundation – Year 2 House Athletics was a Great Success!

What a wonderful day we had at the Foundation, Year 1, and Year 2 House Athletics occasion! Our youngest athletes came together to showcase their talents and enthusiasm while participating in several athletic events. The afternoon kicked off with some energising stretching exercises, preparing everyone for the track and field activities to come. Students then moved through a range of challenges, including the long jump, discus, and shot put. One of the highlights of the event was undoubtedly the running event, where students took on the challenge of running two laps around the oval, cheered on by their teachers, and a large crowd of supportive parents and families. The relays at the end involved races that were filled with determination and teamwork.

This year, the school houses of Lawrence, Singleton, Schofield, and Taylor competed against each other, with every student playing their part in earning points for their team. It was fantastic to see everyone participating with such joy and enthusiasm, reflecting the true spirit of sportsmanship. A big thank you to all the parents and families who came along to support the event. Your encouragement made the day even more special. I would also like to say Thank You to our PE Teacher Kim James for all her planning and preparation of this important event and congratulations to our student House Leaders who confidently assisted each of the competitors in their House to make the day such a great success!
