Feedback plays a key role in ongoing learning. It enables the learner to reflect and utilise new strategies or make adjustments if needed for further growth and development.
Research has shown that feedback should focus on learner growth rather than product development as it is not really an end point in learning, just a check point along the way. Feedback can also influence a person’s attitude to their learning, so is crucial at key times.
This year our teachers have been focussing on Feedback in their Professional Learning. It is important to understand the purpose and types of feedback and I have asked Dr Charlotte Forwood, our Director of Learning Design and Development to once again record a video to share this important work with you.
With best wishes,
Debbie Dunwoody
