A Heartfelt Tradition: Year 5 Parents Supporting Year 6 Graduation

One of the most cherished traditions at Camberwell Girls is the way our Year 5 parents come together to support the Year 6 Graduation Supper. For decades, this beautiful gesture has been a highlight of the celebration – an opportunity for Year 5 families to honour the graduating class and help make their evening truly special.

After the formal Graduation Ceremony, Year 6 parents and students gathered for the Supper to celebrate their journey through the Junior School. Thanks to the Parents & Friends Association, who generously donated the beverages, and the incredible Year 5 parent volunteers who served food and drinks with warmth and care, the event was filled with joy and community spirit.

This tradition is more than just service – it’s a way of passing the torch, celebrating milestones, and showing what makes our CGGS community so unique. A huge thank you to our Year 5 parents for giving their time during this busy season to ensure the night was memorable for our graduates and their families.

SHUS Annual Big Sale – Supporting Families and Our School

The Second Hand Uniform Shop (SHUS) recently hosted its much-anticipated Annual Big Sale, offering families the chance to purchase high-quality uniform items at discounted prices. This event is all about supporting our community – especially new families – by making uniforms more affordable while promoting sustainability.

The sale was made possible thanks to the incredible efforts of our Parents & Friends Association volunteers, who generously gave their time to staff the event. We are so grateful for their support during this busy time of year!

Not only does the Big Sale help families, but it also generates valuable revenue for SHUS. These funds go straight back to the School, contributing to programs and resources that enhance your child’s educational journey at Camberwell Girls.

Thank you to everyone who shopped, volunteered, and helped make this year’s Big Sale a success!

Camberwell Comes Alive with Christmas Cheer!

Christmas magic lit up Camberwell at our annual celebration, bringing together students, families, and staff for an evening full of joy and cheer!

The Secondary School oval was the heart of the festivities, buzzing with laughter and creativity. Santa’s Workshop was a hit, with kids decorating ornaments and cookies, and just when we thought the night couldn’t get any better – Santa himself made an appearance, spreading smiles all around. Thank you to all our parent volunteers for assisting at the event to ensure all families could enjoy the Christmas spirit.

The celebration continued in St Mark’s Church with a beautiful Christmas Concert. The church glowed with warmth as students wowed the audience with heartfelt performances, and families joined in singing those much-loved carols. Thanks to the live stream, the festive spirit reached everyone – whether on the oval or at home – so no one missed out on the magic.

It was a night where our School community truly shone, making Christmas at Camberwell a celebration to remember!
