Celebrating Friendships and Memories

More than 50 years after graduating, alum returned for the Sapphire Circle Lunch—a celebration of friendship, legacy, and connection. This annual event brings together alum who graduated 51+ years ago, sharing laughter, memories, and reflections on how Camberwell Girls shaped their lives.

This year’s lunch was made even more special by a warm welcome from young alum Sara Rowland (2024), Ella Robinson (2022), Thasanya Jayasumana (2024), and Isabella Wood (2024), adding a personal touch to the day. Guests enjoyed lunch, sang the school hymn, toured the campus, and celebrated the enduring bonds formed at Camberwell Girls.

Legacy in Motion: Alum Present OGA Badges to Their Daughters

This year’s Old Grammarians Association (OGA) badge presentation was made extra special this year as we had eight alum mothers of current Year 12 students, who proudly presented badges to their daughters at the 2025 Leavers Service. Graduating between 1989 and 1993, these women share a rich history with the School, including a golden era of performing arts and the opening of Barbara Sutton Hall.

This moment beautifully bridged generations—a celebration of legacy, creativity, and connection, as the spirit of the School’s tradition lives on through the next generation.

Thanks to Susan Clohesy (1992), Kurston MacKenzie (1989), Lara Ruddle (1992), Lindsay Scotter (1992), Alison Shillington (1989), Colleen Stavrakis (1989), Vicky Wang (1993), Sharon Taylor (1989) for presenting at the 2025 Leavers Service.
