Connected Community

The Parents & Friends Association is organising wonderful events to bring the CGGS community together. We hope you can join us.

Mother’s Day Stall

The PFA was thrilled to organise a Mother’s Day Stall this year for students to purchase gifts for their mother or special guardian. Junior School students were very excited to have the opportunity to purchase a gift for their mother, grandmother or other special woman in their lives. The stall was then moved to Fig Tree Café during lunchtime and opened for Secondary students to purchase gifts. The stall raised approximately $1000 for the PFA.

Mother’s Day Breakfast

The PFA Mother’s Day Breakfast took place in Barbara Sutton Hall and was attended by 197 guests. The event was open to mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, mother figures, and daughters. The Secondary School Captains, Emily, Sara, and Jessica, along with Junior School Captains, Kaylee and Alice, greeted guests with a gift and hosted the event.

Guests were treated to some lovely background music by the Jazz Ensemble. They also enjoyed a delightful breakfast and engaged in lively conversations, accompanied by lots of chatter, laughter and even tears after emotional presentations from the School Captains.

The lucky winners of the door prizes included items from Punar (owned by current JS parent Priya Kalyanimath), Sabine fashion label, The Ark fashion store, Verve Photography and Sleeky Hair Studio in Balwyn. Overall, it was a fun-filled morning with lots of laughter and enjoyment.

The PFA would like to thank the set-up volunteers, who were predominantly fathers this year, for their time and effort in setting up the event.
