Gala Ball Fundraising

We’d like to thank all those who supported the fundraising at the Gala Ball in July 2022. The silent auction and live auction were raising funds to support the redevelopment of the Barbara Sutton Hall performing arts precinct.

We are grateful to all who supported the fundraising activities and pleased to announce that with the $26,000 raised the school was able to purchase Wengar Signature Choral Risers. The risers will ensure choir rehearsals are more efficient and will enable students to rehearse in the place and order they will perform. The risers will improve sight lines to the conductor and provide better balance and blend of sound as choir members are evenly spaced and tiered. It replicates a professional setting and will support student confidence in performance. They will be fantastic for House Music! The risers are portable and fold up and will be easily stored in the redeveloped arts precinct.

Frocktober

On Tuesday 11th October staff and students were invited to Frock Up for Frocktober which is designed to raise awareness and funds for ovarian cancer research.

Georgie Herbert (1998), Old Grammarian and CGGS Inspiring Woman works tirelessly to raise awareness and funding for this important cause. To learn more about the OCRF, visit ocrf.com.au

Our Head of Science, El Wood has pledged to wear a frock every day in October and has a Frocktober fundraising page where she has currently raised $535. If you would like to support this worthy cause please donate here:

Year Level Catch Ups

A small group of Year 3 and 5  parents were able to get together for Dinner before Term 3 ended and it’s great to see the Year 7 parents had a great time over drinks to welcome Term 4.

The Year Level Reps are an integral part of the CGGS Community. They provide an important link between parents and the school.

Your dedicated  Year Level Reps will be running events and activities for the CGGS parents and families throughout the year.

Remember to look out for emails from your Reps with more details about your year level events for Term 4 and read about them in this section of the Senior School Weekly.
