Class of 1973 – 50 Year Reunion

We were very excited to invite the Class of 1973 to celebrate their 50 year reunion. This extremely well connected group were thrilled to be back at the school for this milestone reunion. This group generally catches up every 5 years and they were delighted to take a tour of the school marvelling at what has changed and what still brings back many memories. Exciting to have interstate and country old grammarians make a special effort to attend, to catch up and reminisce.

This group will be invited to join the annual Sapphire Circle Lunch this October. We are also very excited to be hosting our reunion weekend later in June where nine year levels will come back to the school to celebrate their 5 Year, 10 Year, 15 Year, 20 Year, 25 Year, 30 Year, 35 Year, 40 Year or 45 Year reunion.

Careers Evening

It was a pleasure inducting our Year 6G students as our Ormiston leaders for Semester Two. Our leadership assembly was live-streamed to Year 6G families. The highlight of this event was the speeches of three students – Ann Brookes, Christine Moi and Stefanie Nguyen. Each student spoke about leadership and what it meant to them, and for student voice to continue to be a focus for Ormiston in assemblies and future Junior School events. I would like to thank Jasvindar Gill for organising our student leaders. As a school community, we look forward to their contributions for the remainder of the year.
