A Strong Finish to Term: House Cross Country

Held in beautiful conditions and marked by strong participation and community spirit, our Year 7–12 students concluded Term 1 on a high note with the annual House Cross Country Carnival.

Students competed enthusiastically throughout the day, demonstrating determination and resilience as they ran for valuable House points.

The event was well attended and ran smoothly thanks to the generous support of the PFA Friends of Sport team, who were present throughout the day. Their contribution, including providing a refreshing Zooper Dooper for students at the finish line, was greatly appreciated and added to the positive experience for all involved.

We extend our sincere thanks to the PFA Friends of Sport volunteers for their time and support:

  • Leanne Lewis, Friends of Sport Lead
  • Fiona Nicholson Stocker, PFA President
  • Nicola Ramsey, Friends of Sport
  • Penny Qin, Friends of Sport

Their continued involvement plays an important role in enhancing our school sporting events and supporting student participation. Congratulations to Taylor House as the overall winner.

Building Connections Early: The Value of Year Level Representatives

Year Level Representatives (YLRs) play a vital role in strengthening community connections within each year level and between families and the School. Through their efforts, YLRs create opportunities for parents to connect with one another, foster a sense of belonging, and support engagement in school life from the earliest years.

This was particularly evident recently when the Early Learning 3 and 4 YLRs organised Easter egg hunts for their year levels at the newly renovated Norway Reserve. The students delighted in the Easter Hunts and the events provided a welcoming and relaxed opportunity for families to come together, meet other parents, and enjoy time with their children in a shared community setting.

We thank our Early Learning 3 and 4 YLRs for their initiative and dedication. Their ongoing contribution highlights how YLRs play an essential role in nurturing community spirit and supporting meaningful engagement at every stage of schooling.
