Celebrating Those Who Make a Difference

We recently gathered for a special evening dedicated to the remarkable individuals who generously give their time and talents to our School community. Hosted by Principal Debbie Dunwoody at her home, this annual Volunteer Thank You event was a heartfelt celebration of connection and gratitude.

Guests were treated to a delicious menu prepared by our talented Cooinda catering team, complemented by refreshing beverages and the smooth sounds of background jazz – creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Throughout the year, volunteers – parents, alum, and friends – play an essential role in enriching school life. From supporting the Parents and Friends Association, serving as Year Level Representatives, and running the Second Hand Uniform Shop, to contributing through groups like Friends of Sport and the Dads Group, their efforts foster a vibrant and inclusive community. Alum also share their expertise through career guidance and mentoring, offering invaluable opportunities to current students.

We also said goodbye to departing Year 12 parents and a past parent who have been amazing volunteers, acknowledging their outstanding contributions and wishing them well for the future.

One Year on Camberwell Welcomes Back the Class of 2024

One year after graduating, the Class of 2024 returned for their first reunion—a heartwarming evening filled with laughter, reconnection, and reflection. Hosted in the Fig Tree Café, the event offered a relaxed space for former students to catch up with each other and reconnect with their teachers.

The reunion was a chance to share stories from their first year beyond school; whether studying, working, travelling, or exploring new paths. Teachers were thrilled to see their former students thriving and hear how their time at CGGS had helped shape their journeys.

The atmosphere was warm and lively as this special event reminded everyone that the Camberwell Girls community doesn’t end at graduation-it continues to grow, evolve, and support its members long after they leave. We look forward to watching their stories continue to unfold.
