OGA Public Speaking Competition - Salome Obeyesekere (2023)

Former Debating Captain Salome returned to Camberwell Girls to adjudicate the annual OGA Public Speaking Competition, bringing her expertise and enthusiasm to the event. Her presence added a special layer of connection and inspiration, as she shared insights from her own experiences in debating and public speaking.

Salome’s thoughtful feedback and encouragement helped students build confidence and refine their presentation skills. Her return as an adjudicator was a wonderful example of alum giving back, and a reminder of the lasting impact of student leadership and the strength of our alum community.

We’re delighted to share that Valerie K, from Year 10, took out first place, with Grace W in Year 7 as a talented runner-up.
