House Dance taken to new heights in 2018
The Barbara Sutton Hall was packed to capacity on Friday 23 March as the School community came together to witness an evening of spectacular dance by our talented Senior School girls.
For many years, the annual House Dance Competition has been a firm favourite among parents and students past and present, with the event always drawing a large crowd.
With a record number of performers this year, the audience witnessed a diverse array of dance from the four Houses including ballet, lyrical, contemporary, tap and jazz.
Led by the Year 11 Dance Captains, students from Years 7-12 graced the stage to represent their House across 3 categories: theme, solo duo or trio and group. As always, the standard was exceptionally high, which made adjudicating a tough task.
We congratulate all performers and must give special mention to the Dance Captains Alexia, Stephanie, Emma, Angelica, Eloise, Holly and Katie who worked tirelessly all Term to audition, choreograph, rehearse, costume and stage each of their 3 acts.
It is with delight that we announce the following winners:
Theme: Singleton
Solo/Duo/Trio: Singleton
Group: Taylor
The Overall Winner was Lawrence, led by Alexia and Stephanie.
