Being Baptised or Confirmed, 2017
Each year we offer the opportunity for students to be baptised and/or confirmed, with the service taking place in the Mountfield Chapel, located in the Junior School. Sometimes people are baptised as babies, but a person can be baptised at any age.
Confirmation is for those who have been baptised as infants, who now want to make their own promises to God. The candidate is confirmed by the local bishop, in our case Bishop Genieve Blackwell.
The date for the service has not yet been set, but is most likely to be in Term 3. (The date will depend upon the candidates’ commitments.) Preparation for baptism and/or confirmation involves about four education sessions, usually run over lunchtimes, by me.
If you would like to discuss your daughter being baptised or confirmed this year, or if you have any questions about baptism and confirmation, please contact me on creedh@cggs.vic.edu.au. I will then phone you.
With kind regards
