We’re excited to introduce MGS Architects as the team leading the redevelopment of Barbara Sutton Hall. Known for their “quietly brilliant places,” MGS brings a strong focus on community engagement, cultural inclusivity, and innovative design to this project.
Selected through a closed tender process in 2023, MGS has worked closely with Camberwell Girls Grammar School to design a space that reflects our school’s heritage and future aspirations. Their approach combines architecture, urban design, and interiors, grounded in a commitment to longevity, adaptability, and true community value. Throughout the tender and interview process, MGS demonstrated a strong alignment with our values and an understanding of educational environments, making them a natural choice for this project.
The project’s design began with collaborative workshops involving staff and student leaders, ensuring that the new hall reflects the voices and needs of our community. With MGS’s inclusive approach, we’re confident that Barbara Sutton Hall will become a vibrant, functional, and welcoming space for future generations.
MGS will remain involved at every stage as the project progresses to ensure our vision is successfully realised.
We look forward to sharing further updates with you soon.
We acknowledge and pay respect to the Wurundjeri people as the traditional custodians of the land on which the school is situated.
